ABOUT: US
Emmanuel Baptist Church is snuggled in the heart of the town of Melfort, Sk Canada. It's roots go back to the fall of 1980, when a couple of local women wanted to bring a Southern Baptist Church to the area. They were approached by Jack Conner a Southern Baptist pastor; previously from the United States and started a small congregation. The original Church was named the First Southern Baptist Church of Melfort. It was pastored by Richard Mathisrud. Eventually it found it's location at 104 Stovel East. In 1999 the congregation made a reformation and changed their name to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
After the congregation grew and a new location was being investigated; an offer was made to purchase a building from the Nazarene Congregation who was selling their building. Emmanuel Baptist Church bought the building and it's location; 112 Burns Ave E, which is where the congregation is presently meeting now. The congregation of EBC are known for their love, warmth and hospitality among each other and especially to those who visit. We look forward to meeting you.
