After months of prayerful waiting, searching, and trusting in God’s perfect timing, we are thrilled to announce that Melfort Emmanuel Baptist Church officially has a new pastor!

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, Cohle was officially incorporated and accepted into our church family by the Canadian National Baptist Convention (CNBC). It was a beautiful day of celebration, worship, and gratitude as we officially welcomed Cohle, his wife Rebecca, and their three boys into our community. We are already so blessed by their presence and filled with love for this wonderful family!

Get to Know Pastor Cohle: Cohle is a devoted follower of Jesus, a loving husband to Rebecca, and a proud father to three boys. Born and raised in Steinbach, MB, he also brings strong roots in Saskatchewan, with family connections in Carrot River.

Before coming to Melfort, Cohle and Rebecca dedicated nine years to serving as missionaries in Northern Manitoba, a true testament to their hearts for ministry and loving people. Following their missionary work, Cohle pursued further study at the Canadian Baptist Theological Seminary in Cochrane, Alberta. In 2026, God clearly opened the doors and called them here to Melfort Emmanuel Baptist Church, where Cohle now serves as our Pastor.

Cohle brings a deep passion for the good news of Jesus, a strong love for God’s Word, and a servant’s heart for the local church. When he isn’t in the office or visiting with church members, you can find him spending quality time with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, driving anything with a motor, or perfecting his quest to bake the ultimate pizza!
